You're asking at a bad time. The snow season just started, & peak season happens towards mid-February, so most major retailers will squeeze what they can out of u because demand is high.

I've found that Big 5 Sporting Goods usually has pretty good prices even though their selection is not as good as, say, Sport Chalet. But when they have a sale it is usually a pretty good deal. I'd say go & find what u can there, & whatever is left u will just have to bite the bullet & get any mediocre discounts Sport Chalet can offer.
