my 164 K2 Eldo all mountain board is feeling a bit big and heavy?smaller or lighter board?

It depends on how heavy u r & how aggressively u ride. At 6'1'' u should be able to ride a 164, although 160lbs is quite light. l dont like boards less than 162 for steep & deep all mountain shredding (black & double black).

You can definitely find lighter boards. Nidecker (the Swiss company) makes some very light boards with carbon fiber cores (the Ultralight). They r pricey, but really nice. I've got one, & one of my friends has one too.

Burton just came out with an even lighter board for 2006. I've not ridden it, but I've checked it out in the stores & it is featherweight. But, at $900 it is the most expensive board on the market.

You can try for a smaller board. Maybe a 158 or something but do not go lower than 155 or you be too light. l usually switch around with boards and stuff, but if it is at your nose level, then it is just about prefect for you.
