Hi,
Ludmila Belousova & Oleg Protopopov r two pionners of figure skating. Russian born, they twice won gold medals in pairs at the Olympic Winter Games (1964, in Innsbruck, Austria, & 1968, in Grenoble, France). they invented the figure called the ''death spiral'' where the girl is almost completely parallel to the ice & the guy holds her hand & he pivots.
Incredible but the Protopopov is r in now in their 60 is & they still skate together & perform their signature move in all their shows..
