How do you get involved in skiing competitions so one day I may compete in the olympics

Most people that get to that competitive level start skiing by age three & competing at age 6. You would go to ski based schools growing up like a ski academy. Then u would be recruited by the team after u kicked but in division one or world cup level races.

What l am trying to tell u is that it is not as easy as it looks. These guys have been skiing & racing at least 3-4 days a week since they were kids & dry land training in thier off time.

it really is not very easy. its a really hard sport. for example l started skiing at 2 & racing at 7. even in girls its hard. first it depends how old u r if u r above 25 now then ur olympic dream is shot because by the time ur ok then u will be to old. then u can race masters which still is tough. u first need to be dedicated to the sport. & then u need to learn how to ski alot better. it does not just click. once you've done that join a good ability class program if ur older than 14. its tough u train 4-7 days a week. then u will probaly do smartwool seiries. which can quailfy u for fis races. it is going to be really hard & u probaly wont do a fis race for years in ur situation. repeat this for a few years then when u think that ur good enough & when ur coach thinks ur good enough then go to the U.S. nationals, thats when u get spotted by the U.S. ski team. about 1 in 700 make it this far. then u will be on the D team where u will do NorAms same with the C team. Now this point is very hard to make it to & it is the B team where u race Europa cup. then the A team which about 1 in 2000 or less make it to where u have to quailfy for the olympics by placing good in world cup races. no offence but l highly doubt that u will get this far. u will be racing against the best skiers in the world. good luck with ur fanisy!(ski racing is a lot harder then u think it is)
