My country is a small one and does not have a lot of sports. l have never curled (do you say curled or played curling?) before and do not know anyone that does. However, l find it very interesting and would like to start a club or form a team... How do l get started and do you think it is possible given the circumstances (no coach, no rink, no players?)
l live in Macedonia (North of Greece, south of Serbia and Montenegro... :)

l think there is a lot more interest in curling now than ever before. Obviously you need ice to do it properly. Contact your community athletic department and see if they can post something on their website about interest. Good luck. Remember that interest will drop off so do whatever you are going to do now.

Well, that is intresting! Me and some friends wanted to learn how to curl, and then compete in the olympics for a small country (like tonga or saint lucia or so). It can not be that difficult and you do not need to be too young. What is your country? (We live in the Netherlands)

It can be very expensive to start your own club, especially if there is not another close by. A set of curling stones can cost around $7000 US. You can use hockey/skating ice, but it takes some expertise in getting the rink right. Good Luck!!

hi. im from macedonia too, but l live in the US. l think its really expensive to start a curling club though, and it will be hard to start it in macedonia. maybe you should start something else!
