Please describe in detail how you distrubute your weight and motion used to steer or turn on a snowboard.

Lift the front foot slightly while shifting your weight to the rear foot and lean in the opposite direction you wish to turn.

Basically u use ur edge. Try standing flat on ur snowboard, now lift ur toes a little so that the heel side edge digs into the snow, point ur nose down the slope, & u should start sliding downhill. Adjust the angle at which u point ur nose to make wider turns.

If u ride goofy u would do the same but with ur heels lifted so ur on ur toes, riding the toeside edge.

Now l will tell u how to actually turn. Lol.

Your going down the slope, hopefully the bunny slope at this stage. You want to stop so u ride ur edge & gently point ur nose so that its sideways, or so that u r facing the bottom of the mountian. This is a J turn, u basically make a J shape when u turn.

Next r C turns, they r basically a J turn, but instead of stopping, u ride ur opposite edge into another turn in the opposite direction of which u started. So if u ride normal, u would ride ur heel side edge down, then start turning to ur left hand side, & shift ur pressure from heelside to toeside. Again this turn looks like a C.

l fell a LOT when l first started, but some hardcore practice helped a lot. Try the bunny hills first, they might be lame, but u can really hurt yourself if u gain speed & cant stop on the slopes. For example, l almost broke my wrists, elbows, & shoulders because l kept skidding when l wiped out.

Good luck though, & have fun!
