depends on your budget. If you just want to try - try an artificial ramp - they are the cheapest. Look in the yellow pages.

Find a ski club, join it. Ski club usually have free ski lessons and offer cheap outings.

ski schools will always cater for beginners and nearly all resorts will have a 'bunny hill' for complete beginners to start on and a suitable beginners area. check out resort reviews before you go as some resorts are better than others for beginners.

Alta. Ski free after 3:00 everyday. Best way to learn. Oh and the guy that said Denver is a moron. There is no skiing in Denver. The closest place is about an hour away. Come to Utah. Its the greatest snow on earth.
