how come if im the best skier at the mountain i ski at and im not sponsored yet

because your not getting noticed by sponsers l skateboard and trust me its hard to get sponsered just go ski and do your best,but have fun with it

because you have not entered (and won!) any competitions that sponsors attend. focus on sponsors that support your favorite skiers.

What you need to do is get your name known basically by entering as many competitions as possible. l am having the same difficulty in kayaking l am loads better than some of the sponsored paddlers but if l dont enter comps then l dont get noticed

Performance results are the key.

Produce good results in big competitions then get a good agent or markets agency, keep a good public image and you will land sponsors.

If you do not understand this concept that you are definately not skiing in high level competitions.

The key is to get your name out there. Results, agents, personal websites and self promotion does that.

Because it is really hard to get noticed, especially if u r at a larger mountain. It is difficult to get noticed at one specific mountain because there r so many mountains out there with a ''best'' person on it, but skiing companies can not be at all those places. You should try competing at other mountains, in whichever discipline u wish, so that u can get noticed by sponsers who attend those competitions, & try to catch their eye with ur skills. Another thing u could do is get some of ur friends to tape ur great skiing, & make a movie. Once u have that movie u could send it to local ski shops for them to pick u up, because they would be easier than, say, Rossignol. If u get a good response with that, u could try to send it to bigger companies. But also there r people out there that might have more talent than you, so they might get the deal first. Just keep that in mind so that u can keep sending them out.

you have to win. first off what mt do u ski at? if its a crappy one no one will ever sponser ou there. second do u compete? if so then WINNNNNNN

do you race? if you don't, there is no need to be sponsered. talk with your local ski shops for sponsership if it is a small-town mountain, and go to big competitions, such as USSA, where sponsers hang out.
