Do it, Eeee-Bay! Ebay has an awesome selection, especially in the spring months when all the shops r trying to sell this year is model fast to make room for next year is stuff. Get new or demo skis in great condition for very cheap prices, my whole family is outfitted on Atomics from Ebay. l race & we have a selection of different sizes that l use for different races. With Ebay it is very easy to build a collection of the sizes u need without emptying the wallet. For race skis, go Atomic. They have GS, SX, SL models all for a lot cheaper than Fischer or Vokl (not sure how to spell it, but l know Vokls because my friends have them) & they r not as heavy as Fischers. It depends on u & the style u ski to get good skis, but I'd still reccomend Atomics. l hope this was helpful.

Volkls are definitly good. I've got a pair. They are p60 or p70. Atomic also is really good skis. The racetigers are good i've heard. But l have yet to try them out.

l would go for Elan. THe company is small, so they might be a little expensive, and they only have them in a few places across America, but their Race GSX is a perfectly good, advanced skiier slalom ski. Check elansports.com

l only race on Atomics, but for speed events, all the Austrian manufacturers r good - Atomic, Fischer, or Head. For slalom skis, l have SL:11s which l love & l also have a 10.22s, DH, & SG Atomic boards - l can not recommend any of them highly enough. The only downside is you're forced to use Atomic bindings (or void the ski warranty). Rossis r known for SL skis, but I've seen a lot of people break them in races lately, so quality may be an issue.

You can get most race skis cheap on eBay - I've used Denver Wholesale Skis before (dwskis) & they're reliable & their service is great.
