going to N Carolina and l really wanna go snowboarding but have nobody to go with. l plan on taking a 1 1/2 hr class, and stay for another hour after while the rest of my family goes shopping around town or something like that.
i worry i will get lost or wo not be able to find the lodge. also i've never been on a ski lift before. how does this all work.

Hey, finding someone to go with u is ur problem! lol There has to be someone around that has skied or snowboarded before in ur area! (Well then again, North Carolina..) About getting lost, NO BIGGIE!! There r plenty of maps & guides so u wo not get lost! You're instructor will teach u the proper way to get on a lift. l ski, & l have to admit, once u get the hang of it, it is pretty easy! Each time though, anything can go wrong!! The lift keeps going & does not stop often so u have to be fast! Good luck! (PS What about skiing? It is easier to get started, & is really fun? lol)

Okay, u wo not get lost, trust me. Do not leave the bunny hill, & l do not think u will want to anyway, & there r maps everywhere. If u feel lost just keep going down, u will end up somewhere. Also, NC mountains r not that big so it wo not be that easy to lose ur way. If u have trouble getting o the lift, ur lift operator will slow it down & u just hop on. You get on with one foot in the front binding & u scoot along with the other foot. It is kind of awkward at first & it will fell uncomfortable but do not worry, u will get on. If u meet someone in ur snowboarding class that u get along with, ask them to spend the day with you. At the very least, they will say no & then u can not worry about embarassing yourself around someone else, if ur easily embarassed. Sometimes l like to go snowboarding by myself if all l am doing is spending the day on the mountain. It is less embarassing than going slow & having to have people wait for you. That always sucks. The most important thing is to just have a good time. Make sure u have strong muscles in ur chest, abs, arms, & legs because otherwise u will be really, really sore.
