what is the name for the goggles that can be used day and night?

l guess I've been out of it for a while, but l didnt know a certain goggle could be used day AND night. l guess l am old school in that l just use dark lenses for day-time riding and clear lenses for night-time riding.

Just about any goggle can be used day or night as every popular model of goggle that l am aware of have interchangable lenses. Obviously, a lens that works well for a sunny day wo not do so well at night but, for many goggles, u can purchase a clear lens that u can replace for night time activities.

l am unaware of any goggle manufacturers that make photo-chromatic lenses. These r lenses that get darker as it gets brighter & clearer as it gets darker. A company called PanOptx makes dual lensed, goggle style sunglasses with photo-chromatic lenses:

They r expensive but very good quality. l find they do not perform as well on stormy days as a good set of goggles do but for mild weather conditions they r great as they r less bulky than goggles & block the wind very well.
