A pair of Volkl 188 is with tyrolia 1200 bindings for 150 bucks. The guy says that he paid 1600 bucks for this set and is selling it for only 150. Seems kinda fishy to me. Has anyone ever heard of this particular ski?

At the end of the day would you sell equipment in good condition for a tenth of the new price?

Well, skis in general have poor resale values. They depreciate VERY quickly. To boot, most skiers have money to burn (an expensive sport), so they replace their equipment frequently & do not worry too much about getting top dollar used. It is us (as in me) poor people who have to beg for the scraps.

Anywhere between $150 - $300 may be a good deal for a pair of gently used skis.

If they seem to be in good condition, not too scratched up, no base gouges or edge issues, it might be a good deal.

You may want to remove one of the bindings to see what is underneath.

l just paid $200 at a ski swap for a pair of Atomic AFT's, & the bindings had 3 mountings done (lots of holes). They may break in half on me.as usual, it is buyer beware.

Volkl is a decent brand name though.
