To buy a beginner board, I've went a few times already, but to buy my own, where is a good place to buy, and what brand are among the best???

''Good places'' will depend on where u live. If you're in the Maryland/DC area, Princeton Sports is having a big sale this weekend. Regardless, be sure to check on-line retailers ( l believe backcountry.com is also having a sale) & places like eBay (that is where l got my Burton Custom X. $100 less than retail).

As for what brands r amongst the best. l personally believe Burton & Salomon make excellent boards in general & excellent boards for women, but remember, those names come with a higher price tag (but worth every penny!). Even as you've already boarded, people tend to abuse their first boards, so be sure to temper ur cost with experience.

Hope this helps. good luck!

Gnu or Salomon would be the best brands.

For a beginner any board will do. l have found that for the beginner the best binding is a step in binding. Why,it is a lot easier for them to hook up & unhook after the many spills u will encounter. You know that falling & wrestling around to regain ur posture that u get hot & aggravated. l have been teaching snowboarding for the last ten years & these bindings in my opinion r among the best,Switch & Flow make the strongest & most user friendly.Sure Burton & K2 make them but the quality is poor.

the-house.com has the most extensive selection of boards. If your a beginner your not gonna see a difference in an expensive board or a cheap one, so l would go with a cheap one. For the brands pretty much anyone is decent if your a beginner/interm. Also make sure the board does not pass your nose when standing straight up, it should be around your chin area.

Most snowboard brands r good these days its more about picking the board whats best for u rather than going for a percific brand. As a beginner it important that u do not pick a board thats too advanced for u as u will find it a nightmare to ride. Ive listed some boards that would suit u all of them r quite cheap & r all mountain type boards which r the best to go for when u r just starting off.

K2 Skyla
Burton Feather
Sapient Fluid
Salomon Maiden
Ride Vista
Volkl Search
