toe side, because of the position you foot has in the front binding, it twists your leg less

Um, l really do not understand the previous poster. When skating, if u push on the toe side of ur board u will have to twist the foot that is still attached to ur board quite a bit. If u push on ur heelside u can keep both feet pointed the same direction & eliminate any twisting.

I've been riding more than 20 years now & l find that skating on my heel side is much easier on my front knee than when pushing on the toe side.

EDIT: & as for the person who posted after me. If u do not even know what skating is then u should not be offering advice.

For everyone else. Skating is when u r riding one-footed. This is usually done to get on or off a chair lift or to cover an expanse of flat terrain. It is called skating because u push with ur feet like u do on a skateboard.

either side works, it just depends on which one feels better to you when you have to do it.

You will have to use both sooner or later. l think there the same,if you can ride you can glide,if you can not ride stay off the mountian.

Use which ever side feels most comfortable to you. Paul prefers heel side because it is better for his knees, while l prefer toe side because it provides me with better balance.

Try 'em both and see which one you like best.
