l would say it is as much a sport as bowling. The games are somewhat similiar, both throw a large object down a narrow path.

Curling is definitely a sport. It is lawn bowling on ice, and do not forget lawn bowling is one of the biggest sports in the British Isles; so why not curling for good old Canada.

Of course it is a sport. l am assuming that most people who knock it have never actually tried it. Curling takes precision, speed, strength, strategy and timing. You can not just walk out on the ice and throw the stone right into the house on your first try. Stop knocking a sport just because you do not understand it. l do not understand cricket but its still a sport.

You may not work up much of sweat curling, but it is a lot harder than it looks. If anyone thinks it is easy u can put ur own team together(it is not like u have to be drafted or have money-just join a club!), win ur club championship, then ur state championship, then ur national title, & then u can move on to the Olympics/Worlds.

At my club l play in the club playdowns against an Olympic champion even though l am not that great a curler. l probably will never beat him, but at least he has to beat me to move on & l get to try my luck against an Olympic medalist. No other sport is like that.

They are not popular outside the US, so l consider them small sports. Curling is populair outside the US, so it is a big sport.
