Depends on what kind of rider you are and how experienced you are. Personally l like Burton is above the rest, but Elan Snowboards are good, along with Sims and Rossignol. I'd check them out. And come winter, your local snowboard/ski shop would let you demo them. Then you can see what your preference is. Good luck.

Whatever that feels good underneath ur feet. l personally use a Rossignol. For beginners, l would recommend that u demo (if possible) or buy an entry level board that is not too rigid or flex which allows u to do both freeride & freestyle riding. If possible, buy a good set of bindings. You can re-use ur bindings later on a new board later.

Lastly, pls get yourself a lot of protection, at least for ur buttock/spine protection & a helmet if u do freestyle. You will thanks me later.

Well, personally l have a Sims. Other good ones are Burton, Rossignol, Nidecker, and Ride.

After renting & borrowing many different kinds of snowboards, l would have to say that Burton is a great brand whether you're just a beginner or u r more experienced.

I've used the same Burton board for 7 years. It is lasted that long & it is still in great shape. l do not get a new board every couple of years just because with such a great board, l do not feel l need to. Anyways, it is just my opinion but my Burton board has been with me through the good & the bads & it is managed to survive which is why l love it.
