If I've interpreted the question correctly, it depends on the player. If the player is a coachable player with a good attitude, stress can be shaken off. They need to be able to take constructive criticism. If they r playing bad, or not to the best of their abilities, they should be able to learn from errors & do better next time.

Some things, like coaches, cannot be changed. This is a negative form of stress. l recently had a coach who flat-out could not be pleased by anything l did. Everything l said, he contradicted, he criticized everything l did, & it was not long before l hated the sport. He was so negative with me that it created a mind block, & it seriously affected my play. l left that coach & and back to being the star of a different team. Everything is different, l am playing to the top of my potential now.
