What's a good skiresort with high paying jobs or a big city near by

To be quite honest, u will be hard pressed to find a ski resort that will offer a ''high paying'' job. The bigger resorts with cities close by that r more likely to offer better pay r Whistler (Vancouver), Vail (Denver) & Parkcity (Salt Lake City). Other big resorts to consider r Squaw Valley, Heavenly, Mammoth Mt, Jackson Hole, Mt Bachelor & many others throughout Utah & Colorado (there r so many l could not list them all).

What kind of job r u looking for? Ski & snowboard instructors generally get a decent rate of pay but will get very few hours. Lift Operators will also get a decent rate of pay & many, many hours as do ski patrol & trail crew. Inside jobs such as food service, rentals, ticket sales, administration & retail will offer median pay & consistant hours. Probably the highest paid positions r equipment operators such as groomers. These r jobs that require a lot of training & dedication but will most likely pay the best. Keep in mind that these positions r very limited & some mountains require a entire season of training/work in a different position before u will be considered for a grooming position.

If u r looking for a job where the pay will be okay & u will get the opportunity to experience mountain living, then working for a ski resort is a great thing. Do not expect huge wages but u will meet a ton of great people & have a lot of fun doing it.
