l Started skiing last winter and fell in love with it.l have only been on rental skis and l started out on the easy level. After going to aspen and skiing with the ski school there, the instructor suggested l move up to longer intermediate skis since l was going at faster speeds.l wanna get a ski that l can learn more on and will give me room to grow on as l get better at skiing.

Yes but they will be a little better suited for a more advanced skier. They r a great choice if u plan on improving ur skiing as they will stay with u longer. Also check out Atomics Izor line as those r geared more to the recreational skier.

Atomic rates their skis from 5 (rental level) to 11 (expert level). The M10 is a great intermediate to advanced ski. It is not as stiff or as cut as the M11, which makes it a bit easier to ski on.

Keep in mind that Metron skis r skied much shorter than regular skis. They have a wide tip & tail & a lot of side cut. This gives them a good amount of surface area for better floatation in crud & powder while the added sidecut allows for great carving. If u ski off piste more often or like bigger, faster turns go up a length. If u do not ski off piste much & like shorter, slalom style turns go down a length. These days the line of thinking in ski lengths is opposite to what it use to be. When in doubt, go shorter.

Go Paul G! I'd like to be a help but l am more experienced in the race skis department. Listen to him, though, he knows what he is talking about.
