l have to admit, in the beginning l thought they might be just because of the horrible stereotypes out there, but then l started working with a few cheerleaders & they have become really great friends! Just be willing to show how nice you truly are and no one will doubt your kindness for a second! =)
Most of all, have fun! If you love to cheer, you should do it anyway, regardless of what people may think.

well on tv and stuff cheerleaders are mean but in real life they can be nice. my friend is a cheerleader but she did not change just because she is one. it just depends on who is the cheerleader

Of course not, l am a Junior High cheerleader and l love it all you have to do is just act like yourself, do not let being a cheerleader go to your head, that is when you get snobby, go for it, it is a blast

no. thats just a stereotype. many are very nice. just dont act like the stereotype and you should be fine. you may get critisized though because some people believe the stereotype applies to all cheerleaders, but it doesnt. if its something you love to do, do it. forget what other people say. just follow your heart and be nice. beat the stereotype.

l think a lot of them are but l used to cheer and l am not a snob. You do not have to be a brat to be happy and have others like you! Dont stop cheering if its something you love to do no matter how people see you or how your fellow cheerleaders act.

only like one or two of the cheerleaders at my HS were snobs. if u dont try to make urself out as a snob (or a sl*t) i'm sure u will be fine.

Being a cheerleader in itsself does not make you a snob. Being a cheerleader can make you more popular, and you can be influenced by the not-so-nice girls. If you stay strong, and do not let yourself be influenced, you will just be the same person you always were.

Thinking that one spacific group of people is one way is just stereotyping. Thats like saying that all jocks r dumb. The valadictorian of my school was a football player. As long as u r nice to people & not act loike a snob then people will realise that u r not like the stereotype.

Anyways, why would u let somethink like what other people think get in the way of what u really want to do. If u love cheering then go ahead an do it. There is no substite like doing something that u enjoy.

l cheered in HS & college, l was never known as a snob, but, there will be some who will say that you are, only outta jealousy~ I've had to live with that most of my life, but, what can l say!!!!! Just do your thing, and be the best you can be at it, & have FUN!

no they're not, my neighbor was one and she was one of the nicest people i've known. some can be real jerks but most are not at my school. make everyone cookies and be nice

That is a stupid stereotype. It all depends on the person. Some cheerleaders are snobs, but that does not mean all of them are. If you want to cheerlead, go for it! Who cares what they think?!Show them you're not a snob! Well, thats my advice.

No! Besides.people will know by the way u behave. Cheerleaders r really not meant to be snobs. It is unfortunate that they have gained that reputation. Cheeleaders r meant to be motivators in the extreme. How can anyone motivate if everyone feels snubbed by them? If anyone else reads this that is a Cheerleader.remember ur creed & do not rely on how rich, beautiful, or popular u are. It is a different world when u graduate & it will rear up & bite u in the bumper.
