l just bought a newpair of Atomic Tweak 163 skis! Now l have to buy bindings. Anyone have any recomendations? l am mostly a freestyle skier so l need a binding that will be stable when i'm landing jumps. l have heard that most freestyle skiers do not want a lifter plate on their bindings.l was thinking of getting Atomic Neox 412 bindings but they have a lifter plate. Would they be a good match with my skis and skiing style? Also, what brake widths would be best ? The dimensions of my skis are 106/78/100. Thanks in advance! :)

The lifter plate helps u carve as u have more leverage on ur skis. This makes them faster edge to edge. Most freestyle skiers prefer not to have this as they would rather be lower on the ski which offers better stability & feel.

The Atomic Neox binding is great but l can not really recommend it for ur application as it has one drawback; it is very, very heavy. Most freestyle skiers want a lighter set up.

Really, the best binding on the market is Salomon & the S912 Ti is awesome. Keep in mind as well that Salomon was just recently purchased by Atomic & Atomic is releasing a Salomon Binding with the Atomic name on it if you'd rather match brands.

Also, the waist width of ur ski is what u want to match. So, for ur skis that have a 78 mm waist width u would need a brake at least that wide. The link below leads to the Salomon S912 ti 80, which has a 80 mm wide brake, perfect for ur skis. If u go too wide the brake will drag when u turn & hang up on rails. Too narrow & the brakes wo not release when the bindings do allowing ur ski to run away & kill people below you.
