What city do you think will be Olympic capital 2014

from 2012 to 2016, it will still be London.

The Olympics are a huge waste of money. l pray that they will not be anywhere in my country.

Seven cities apply to host
the 2014 Winter Olympics
Lausanne, 30 July 2005: Seven cities r bidding to host the 2014 Winter Olympics. The Lausanne-based IOC has received applications from Salzburg (Austria), Jaca (Spain), Pyeongchang (South Korea), Sochi (Russia), Sofia (Bulgaria), Almaty (Kazakhstan) & Borjomi (Georgia). Pyeongchang & Salzburg were candidate cities for the 2010 Winter Games, which will take place in Vancouver (Canada). Pyeongchang was a narrow loser to the western Canadian city, with Salzburg coming third. At this stage, both cities r regarded as front-runners for the 2014 Winter Olympics.

By 1 February 2006, all cities must submit a completed questionnaire to the IOC. In June 2006, the IOC will decide whether all applicants will go forward to final round of bidding or whether some cities’ proposals r thought to be unrealistic. The final decision on the host city for the 2014 Winter Olympics will be made in July 2007 in Guatemala.
