l am 5ft5inches about 140lbs size 8.5 shoe and like to do everything

id rent before purchase..its late in the year.and all the mfg is are pushin to dump leftovers.dont be tempted.try a 145cm for starters..see if you can push it around..

Well, as you should know, the board you want all depends about what you are going to do. If you want speed go for longer. If you want agility and style, go for the shorter. But if you want both of those at the same time, pick a board that goes up a little higher than your chin. As for width, you dont need to wory, and same thing with weight. All you need to worry about its the length.

one areyou in high school because if you are you will keep growing so do not buy a board just yet but if you are done growing buy one that is about waist high

if you are still growing and have a lot of growing left to do then lease or rent. it is not worth buying a snowboard set up for five hundred or more and have it not fit at the end of the season.
fyi. when you get a board you want it about chin level if you are a regular rider. if you are looking to ride park more after then regular trails get a board somewhat shorter than that.
buy burton they are the best in the business, i'm a vermonter l know my snowboards :]

at five foot five and 140
i would go probably with a 144 or so
if you are still growing maybe check out a size bigger than you need
um go to a local board shop and ask there they will give you a few tips on what size and what kind of model you would be after

My brother is five, six and he still uses a 150
